this is not a band i am particularly in to yet, however, i was excited to see some visual and musical reference on our natural abilities to “hide” in this video. for someone who is invested in a truthful self exposure with the people i share my time with, i have weaved this flaw into many aspects of these paintings as a message to those who need not be scared to show your true face. always the important people for you will accept you, and that’s not a bad thing in the least. be strong, take off the mask.

Lovely post – I completely agree, it’s something I’ve been thinking about recently too. I came across this great quote a few days ago which goes along the same lines as what you are saying, it really struck a chord with me:
