it’s really something

today i reflect. eating a pb&j. painting on my epic piece.
i have had quite the week! working 13 hour days, and still managing to escape just enough to see some friends, look at questionable art at the moca closing party, and meet Tim Burgess who has played on my computer for many years while i painted. i don’t usually geek out for such things, i mean after all, i do live in los angeles and meet amazing people all the time..this was just one of those very special moments, and i’m not ashamed to be nerdy about it! charlatans rule!
also, i got to spend good quality time kind hearted and super talented friends The Klaxons before they ventured back home to the UK (which i plan on visiting this april!!). also!! i preformed the magical act of tattooing not one but 2 tattoos! ok, so the one i managed to get a photo of could be questionable to YOU whether or not it counts, but the depth to the meaning runs miles.
as we sat there listening, for the first time, their newly, freshly, just completed mastering of the mix, jamie drew this 2 on his arm to acknowledge the second album, great triumph! the timing was impeccable, and the energy was euphoric. so proud to have been a part of that, cause this album kicks major ass!! here’s a little video cause steffy’s so cute on drums:)
it was truly a great week. and i’ll revel in my freedom one last moment as i know now that i must focus on finishing these pieces..it’s not easy creating to a deadline, they like to breathe on their own.
